At Jernigan's School of Martial Arts and Self Defense, we now offer conveniently scheduled cardio kickboxing classes that offer students the perfect way to get in shape and stay in shape.
What is cardio kickboxing? Well, cardio kickboxing is a combination of Tae Kwon Do and aerobics. This form of fitness combines all the strengthening movements of traditional Tae Kwon Do and the cardiovascular workout that you get from aerobics. Together, these elements make for an incredible workout! Mix in a little music, and you have a fun and rewarding fitness class that you are sure to love.
Our cardio kickboxing sessions are an hour long, which provides time for warm up and cool down exercises. Absolutely no martial arts experience is needed to participate in our cardio kickboxing classes, and anyone who wants to get into fantastic shape is welcome to join. We ask that all participants come in workout attire and sneakers, and be ready to sweat! Any additional materials, such as gloves and hand wraps, can be obtained from our onsite apparel shop.
All of our classes are taught by an experienced fitness instructor. At Jernigan's School of Martial Arts and Self Defense, our cardio kickboxing instruction is centered around providing you with a fun and rewarding workout. This is a high energy fitness class, and if at any time you feel that you need a break, we encourage you to sit down and participate in stretching exercises. You are sure to love the benefits that you get from these sessions.
Martial Arts Tournament competitors ages 17 and under can now earn a college scholarship funded by the Amateur Contact Karate Association.
